Reading Reflection:

Reading is not something I like to do. (Not at all) In the 7th Grade I wasn’t the kind of person who really liked reading. I use to hate reading, and I really didn’t care if I improve my reading level or not.

NOW is a different thing. The Minute I started the 8th grade I knew I would get a chance to discover who I really am and what my hobbies really are. In the 8th grade I have grown and achieved a lot. I can possibly say that I am a more mature person then what I use to be in the 6th and 7th grade.

One thing I realize is that I sort of like reading. (Not a lot) but one thing I could say is that if I don’t really like the book I’m reading, I would just not read at all. In better words I like choosing really carefully the book i want to read next.

Mr. Locker and Ms. Shah helped me a lot with my reading this year. One way they helped me was by letting me read one page by my self and then ask me what I just read about. If I got to the point where I couldn’t understand a word they would tell me to read the sentence over and try to fit it in with the sentence…

Throughout the 8th grade I have moved four or more reading levels up. I think I used to be a level N-M either one. But NOW I ‘m a level Z. (YAY) I am really glad that I actually accomplished my goal. My goal was to be able to read a level Z book by the end of the 8th grade. And I did it Yay.
